Why Tivy.club was founded: a new job board for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion

Annemiek Nusmeijer, owner of Greenjobs.nl, introduces Tivy.club, a new job board that focuses entirely on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DE&I). After six years of running Greenjobs.nl, it is time for the next step: creating working environments where Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is central and everyone has equal opportunities for suitable jobs.

Why a Job Board for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion?

Tivy.club is more than just a job board; it is the job board for an inclusive, diverse and fairer job market. It is a movement towards more justice and equal opportunities. Inspired by personal experiences with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and hearing loss, Annemiek believes that suitable vacancies should be available for everyone. Tivy.club connects employers who are actively committed to D&I with job seekers who value an inclusive work environment and are looking for relevant vacancies. The Road to Tivy.club: From Greenjobs.nl to a Second Job Board Focused on Diversity, Equality & Inclusion

2020 - JEDI B Corp Working Group as a Source of Inspiration

A major step towards the establishment of Tivy.club was Greenjobs.nl's involvement in the JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) B Corp working group. In 2019, Greenjobs.nl became a certified B Corp. During a B Lab meeting, they asked who was interested in participating in this newly established working group, and Greenjobs.nl signed up. Because as a job board you also have a function towards employers to make them realize how important this theme is, I immediately signed up for this working group, says Annemiek.

The working group brought together various progressive B Corps, including Tony's Chocolonely, Mud Jeans, and Fronteer. The goal was to help companies actively work on diversity and inclusion. This was not only a business challenge but also a personal motivation. The founder of Greenjobs.nl has acquired brain injury (ABI) and hearing loss as a result of a serious accident. This experience underlined the importance of a diverse and inclusive workplace, where employers are open to people with different backgrounds and abilities.

March 2023 – Greenjobs.nl goes beyond Green

With a new branding, Greenjobs.nl wanted to go for more impact. Not only sustainable jobs were welcome, but also other jobs that had a positive impact on society in general were also welcome on Greenjobs.nl from then on.

Greenjobs.nl continues to grow into the platform for ALL jobs that contribute to a better world. In addition to the fact that sustainability continues to increase in popularity, Greenjobs.nl believes that all jobs that have a positive impact on people, society, animals, nature and the environment should become the standard.

September 2023 - Let's play equal: a board game about Diversity in Inclusion is coming to market

Annemiek came into contact with BR-ND through the B Corp community. In 2022, she was invited to attend a test session of the board game Let's play equal. This board game was developed to help employers create awareness around diversity and inclusion within their organizations. The enthusiasm for the game led to Greenjobs.nl, together with 3 other B Corps BR-ND, Misteli Creative Agency and Blyde, deciding to put the game Let's play equal into production in 2023. This experience showed how important it is to pay attention to diversity and inclusion in the workplace in a practical, playful way. You can find a separate page about Let's play equal on Tivy.club!

Diversity Day 2024

In October 2024, during Diversity Day, the importance of inclusion was once again emphasized with a blog on Greenjobs.nl about non-congenital brain injury in the workplace. This inspired the idea to set up a new platform specifically focused on diversity and inclusion. Although Greenjobs.nl already paid attention to diversity and inclusion, it turned out that the focus was mainly on sustainability, the energy transition, the circular economy, climate and environmental jobs.

2025: From 1 to 2 job boards for more positive impact

Greenjobs.nl remains the place for all sustainable jobs, while job board Tivy.club focuses on more diversity, equality and inclusion in the labor market. Two different job platforms, both with the same goal: making a positive impact, in their own way.

What is on the agenda for job board Tivy.club?

In the coming months, we will work on the accessibility of the website so that it is easily accessible to everyone, including people with a visual impairment or another type of disability that makes reading websites difficult. At the moment Tivy.club offers job postings and support with writing inclusive job descriptions. In the long term, the intention is that Tivy.club will also offer trainings for organizations in the field of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.
